Monica Ng

Monica Ng is Senior Director at Instruction Partners and an expert for the California Department of Justice, Bureau of Children’s Justice. She researches and designs interventions in middle school math that support the identity and belonging of Black and multilingual students in order to bolster their achievement. She works with state attorneys, district and school leaders and community members to identify and remedy policies, practices, and procedures that result in the discriminatory use of discipline against BIPOC students and students with disabilities. She serves as an adjunct lecturer for HGSE’s Equity and Opportunity course in the disability strand.  Dr. Ng received a BA in Literature/Writing from UC San Diego, M.Ed. in School Leadership and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Practice from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
