Susan M Kardos
Susan Kardos is the inaugural CEO of the Institute for Curriculum Services, which focuses on improving the accuracy of K-12 education on Judaism and Jewish history in US schools. She began her career as a middle school teacher in independent schools and then received her doctoral training and developed expertise in new public school teachers and their professional experiences with their colleagues, school leaders, state policies, and job satisfaction. After completing a post-doctoral research fellowship, Susan worked at the communal level as the leader of a central agency based, multi-school improvement project in Boston, and then at the national level, facilitating the process of determining and implementing the spend down strategy at national education foundation. Most recently, Susan was a senior leader at a large, N-12 independent school in New York City. Susan earned both Doctorate and Masters degrees in Education from Harvard University and her AB from Brown University. Susan and her husband have two teenagers and spend time feeding their passions in musical theater and basketball.
